Friends of Libraries (FOL) groups have their very own national week of celebration, National Friends of Libraries Week October 18-24, 2015 – and the Friends of St. Thomas Public Libraries has much to celebrate! We have elected a new Board of Directors and positioned ourselves to once again become very active, with the opening of the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library, revival meeting and successful appearance at the 2015 Parents Conference. We are happy to report that the Turnbull Library’s staff is focused on providing the best service and support for literacy, and as Friends of Libraries, we are here to support them!
Please join us in the days ahead as we work together to promote the territory’s Library Friends, raise awareness for our Libraries and encourage greater advocacy! Together we will work for the Public Libraries that we deserve.
National Friends of Libraries Week is organized by United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association (ALA.org). We will be sharing our schedule of events for the 10th annual Friends of Libraries Week in this space very shortly. We are the Friends of St. Thomas Public Libraries: Raising Visibility of our Libraries to the Community!
