) – The 8th Annual VI Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge, a partnership of the Office of the Governor and the Virgin Islands Department of Education, is asking students K-6 to read at least 5 books from June 8-September 23, 2016. The Summer Reading Challenge is open to all USVI public, private and parochial school students enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grade.Students get to keep track of their reading online, and must read at least 5 books to take part in planned Fun Days to reward exceptional achievers and all participants.
